Small Hooves Big Hearts

Miniature therapy horses. We visit homeless shelters, youth in crisis housing, and hospices. We attend public and private events. Our horses are trained to ride elevators, stand quietly for petting and wear a diaper if not fully potty trained.

They also love being horses! In the summer months we open the farm up for lessons, pony playdates, birthday parties and events.

Located in the beautiful town of Omemee, our farm boasts quarter horses, a retired Standardbred, the minis, muscovey ducks, toulouse geese and disgruntled chickens! Part of our land is protected by Kawartha Conservation, we take the stewardship of that land very seriously, wander along Sally the Snail's Trail of Discovery and see what other animals share our home. 

Prents, need a night out, how does a private picnic by the creek sound? A charcuterie basket full of local smoked meats, cheeses and our own preserves, add in fresh baked cupcakes and sparkling cider, disconnect to reconnect!

Our farm recognizes and supports all abilities and all financial situations. We never say no, we can always work something out! We are the farm for kids who wouldn't get to play with horses. In 2020 we created a team for lesson kids, specifically for kids on the spectrum. It is the only team of it's kind in Canada, we are proud members of the Miniature Horse Club of Ontario and we can compete at their sanctioned events as well as with our own club and on the farm. Every kid gets a trophy, because every kid deserves a trophy!
